Window bay strengthening

Bay strengthening is a specialist form of crack repair where metal L straps are used to bind the damaged window bay to the main brickwork of the house. L straps are used instead of helical bar for this niche type of crack repair, due to the change in angle of where the window bay joins to the main brickwork. Like crack stitching bay repay is one of most effective long lasting, and least invasive methods of crack repairs. If you would like to discuss bay strengthening further, or get a quote please call us at 07930901912 or fill out the enquiry form below.

Bay strengthening process

Cut 50mm vertical slots  to expose brickwork and timbers. Manipulate L straps to connect the timbers, to the brickwork of main building. Insert  L straps into the horizontal slots and bolt plates into the exposed timbers and the brickwork of the main building. Once L plates are secured insert mortar then redecorate.
